Look Whooo's One! Owl First Birthday Party!
I am so excited to share this adorable Owl themed party. Little Miss Marian was turning one, so I styled this party as an ombré pink and purple dream. You’re going to love all the thoughtful details in this lovely party! And as a special treat for my subscribers, I’ve got a set of fun party printables for you today too!
Because we were celebrating our first birthday girl, we catered the party to younger kids. The goodie bags included toys and treats that one year olds would love, but we also had treats for older party guests as well. Instead of using paper bags, we used these sand buckets with coordinating tags. We also treated the party goers to some sweets like lollipops, gumballs, and marshmallows. Yum!
No party is complete without desserts! For this party we ordered cakes, cupcakes, and cookies to match the Owl theme from Ambrosia by Milie Rios. I just love how they turned out, seriously, how cute is the owl on this cake?!
The party was held at a local Splash Pad-- perfect for the littlest party guests, and helped everyone stay cool in the Texas heat! I also made up some fruit cups to give everyone a cool & healthy treat with a coordinating tag.
One way to give any party a cohesive look is to use the same pattern in many different ways. We carried the ombré and scallop theme throughout the party. We used it on all the tags, the Happy Birthday banner, and our baker did a great job of carrying the pattern onto the cake!
We used the printed tags all over this cute party-- on the cupcake toppers, on the goody “bags”, and on the centerpieces.
To make the center pieces I used a clear plastic popcorn style box, added some purple shredded paper, then glued one of our party tags and an owl cut out to some lollipop sticks, and just tied some ribbon around for a sweet touch-- instant and easy to make centerpiece!
