“Hoppy Easter” Bunny-Themed Easter Party

Photography by Chris Lammert

Easter is right around the corner, and I’m so “egg-cited” to finally spill the “jellybeans” about this amazing “Hoppy Easter” Bunny-themed Easter Party we set up last year! This party was all about bunnies, blooms, and festive Easter delights. Read on to see how we transformed a yard into an Easter wonderland, complete with charming decorations, mouthwatering desserts, delectable food and drinks, cozy lounge areas, and a photo booth ready to capture the joyous moments.

P.S. When you’re done with this post, be sure to check out my post with all of the fun and entertaining activity ideas we planned for this party!

Flowers and Balloons

A spring celebration is the perfect occasion to go big with florals. For this Easter party, we made sure to have a gorgeous array of candy colored blooms on as many surfaces as we could!

We also had pastel balloon garlands draped around the outdoor activities (more on those here!). Some of the garlands included the cutest flower and bunny balloons as well for that extra spring and Easter touch. Giant marquis letters spelled out the message of the celebration - “Hoppy Easter”!

Photo Backdrop

Another element I like to include in every celebration is a specific area for photos. For this party, we used a crisp white backdrop painted with gorgeous lavender flowers and embellished with the words “Hoppy Easter”. The grass in front of the backdrop was covered with florals and a variety of potted plants.

The backdrop was certainly bunny-approved!

Lounge Areas

Whenever space allows, I love to set up comfortable lounge areas with rented furniture. In this case, we used a rug, coffee table, small side tables, and Easter-colored couches and chairs to create an elegant outdoor “living room”. We also set out woven baskets of favors for both adults and children in this area.

In addition to the pastel lounge area, we set up a low table perfect for kids, with comfy pillows and Easter-colored quilts to sit on. We also provided the cutest fuzzy bunny ear headbands for them.

Food Areas

The food was set up on a long rustic table. We used stands of various sizes and shapes to elevate the food and give the table more dimension, and added florals and greenery throughout. Some of the food even had edible flower embellishments - perfect for spring! Then, to bring more of the Easter bunny garden theme, we set out baskets of all sorts of fresh vegetables.

Drink Stations

This celebration had two drink stations. The first was a lovely white bar with self-serve water, juice, coffee, soda, sparkling water, and a DIY mimosa area.

The second drinks station was an adorable rolling drink cart, complete with pink-and-white-striped umbrella and cute spring birdhouse decoration.

Dessert Table

Dessert tables are always one of my favorite areas of a party, and in this case it was a really impressive one! A giant smorgasbord of sweets, from parfaits and macarons, to cupcakes, jams, homemade poptarts and so much more! The desserts were displayed on a variety of dishes and stands, and interspersed with adorable bunny and spring decorations and florals.

With the whimsy of the spring decorations, the sweetness of delightful desserts, the joy of capturing memories in a charming photo booth, and more, there's something for everyone at this “Hoppy Easter” Bunny Themed Easter Party. I hope this has inspired you to infuse your own Easter gathering with the spirit of the season!
