Camp-Themed Sleepover

I recently shared the Camp-themed Party we set up for 11-year old Grey and all of his friends, but the adventure didn’t stop there! For an extra special touch, we followed up the camp-themed party with a cozy sleepover for Grey and his closest friends. With tons of camping décor, sweet treats, fun favors, and individual tents for each guest, the venue was transformed into a magical campout where the kids could wind down and enjoy a unique indoor camp experience. In this post, I’ll share how we made this camp-themed sleepover the perfect ending to an unforgettable day!
Welcome
First, we moved the custom “Camp G11” (named for Grey’s 11th!) welcome sign, photo backdrop, and canoe-shelf of props from the earlier celebration into the venue space to welcome Grey and his friends to the “campsite”.
Dining
For dinner, we used the existing bar in the venue, but added a customized “Get in Bros, We’re Going Camping” sign as a backdrop that included all of the guests’ names and some colorful camping imagery.
Each guest got a place setting at the counter, with wooden plates layered over paper placemats, and completed with a green plaid napkin, bamboo utensils, and a custom iced cookie shaped like a sleeping bag!
Of course, we couldn’t forget desserts after dinner. The guests were served cute tent-themed cupcakes and s’mores cupcakes - perfect for our theme!
Beds
We wanted the sleepover beds to have a camping tent feel, while still allowing the kids to hang out and converse with each other. These half-tent style beds were perfect! We set them up in a circle around a faux campfire, and decorated them with camping-themed pennant flags and camp patches. Around the “campfire”, we set up some poufs for sitting before bedtime.
Each bed also featured a personalized name flag, as well as the name of the assigned guest on the bed frame itself.
Each guest also received a personalized blanket rolled up on their bed - a great practical party favor that can be used well beyond the celebration.
Favors
The blanket was certainly not the only party favor we provided! In front of each bed, we added a sticker-adorned case of camping-themed party favors.
These favors included everything a kid might need at a camp-themed slumber party! A thermos with personalized name tag, a personalized mini cooler, a tackle box full of customized Camp G11 snacks and essentials, and a case of candy…for emergencies!
Bringing the fun of a camp sleepover to life was such a joy. The kids had an amazing time, and it was the perfect way to cap off a day full of adventure and memories. Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Camp-Themed party!
