Let Love Twinkle
Happy Monday everyone!! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours consisted of one of my daughter's dance competitions and a Mardi Gras party with the hubby... it sure was a busy one!
As I told you in my last post, on Friday my daughters invited some friends over to our house to celebrate friendship and to get their Valentines ready with a small and cute Valentine's Day party.
I wanted to welcome their little group of friends with a cute dessert table and a place to set up their Valentines once they were done making them. I ran out of ideas of how to name the party and I really didn't want it to be just a "Valentine's party" again, so this time I went with "Let Love Twinkle".
The color palette was inspired by some Target baggies that I found while I was shopping there. I was obsessed with adding a dark blue color to the party and I absolutely love how it turned out.
Let's start with the dessert table's backdrop... I wanted something fun and colorful, so I called my friend Darlene from 16Tassels and asked her to custom-make these fun tissue paper garlands.
I went to my local market and ordered a deep blue colored cake - very simple, but delicious! I glued a gold heart on a long stick and used it as a cake topper.
Next to the cake I set up a little plate that I found from years past that said "LOVE". On the other side I set up some bottles filled with milk because who doesn't love milk with cake? To top them off I added some heart-shaped marshmallows along with some cute gold foil hearts.
And for those who wanted some sweets before we cut the cake, I placed some donut holes in these adorable glass bowls. I stuck some glittery hearts toppers in one of the bowls...
and for the other one, I used a cute cake topper made by Darlene to match my party color palette.. they are the cutest!
All the girls brought their own candy to put inside the bags, so we just provided these baggies from Target (the ones that inspired my color palette!) and some confetti mix from my friend Brenda! She is awesome at customizing confetti and she did an amazing job making it for my special party. Make sure to visit her Etsy shop FestiveFetti.
Each girl decided to make their own tag at home.
Brenda also hand-made this beautiful "Let Love Twinkle" banner that helped set up the tone! I placed it out on our front door and moved it to the party area once the girls arrived.
Hope you all liked my fun little table to celebrate Valentine's Day. Our girls had a blast! Make sure to subscribe to my mailing list so you can get the latest party ideas and exclusive access to my entire library of FREE printables and DIYs!
