Pickleball Party

I just love blending fun themes with stylish details to create unforgettable gatherings. As you might have noticed, pickleball is having a moment! So I was so excited to be able to jump into the fun by styling a pickleball-themed party for one of my clients recently. From setting up chic courtside seating to serving up refreshing cocktails with a sporty twist, I’m sharing all the details on how I planned a pickleball-inspired celebration that’s both playful and polished.
Welcome
To greet guests as they walked up to the house, we had a custom backdrop made with personalized branding that we used throughout the party. We decided on a classy powder blue and white color scheme with pops of bright orange.
This welcome sign served as a great photo backdrop for party guests.
Photobooth
For another photo op, we set up another backdrop right on the side of the pickleball court. The faux boxwood panels really gave the look of a fancy club or garden. We added pickleball paddles and a cheeky “Don’t mess with my dinks” sign in the middle.
Seating
Next to the court, we set up rented tables and chairs under blue and white striped umbrellas so guests could sit and watch the matches in the shade.
We also used large personalized brand decals to enhance some mini tables next to the seats in the pool area of the backyard to tie them to the rest of the party.
In the seating areas, we set up baskets of blue and white striped towels, perfect for drying off after a quick dip in the pool or wiping off the sweat after a tough pickleball match!
Drinks
Every good party needs a good bar! We added a custom branded blue pickleball paddle logo to the front of a rented white bar and stocked it with everything needed to make a couple of signature party drinks.
We used a cute orange and white “Dinks on us” acrylic bar sign to give guests details on what was in the “Match Point Margarita” and “Whiskey Paddler”.
Guests were also provided with themed cocktail napkins and branded drink cups.
Favors
Next to the pool, we had a directional sign guiding guests to where everything was, including some fun nods to places personal to our clients. One of the arrows directed guests to the “BFI Athletic Shop”, which was the merch stand we set up with a variety of personalized and practical party favors for the guests to use and take home.
Favors included hats, towels, t-shirts, tumblers, and totes. We used an orange acrylic “Merch Shop” sign to instruct guests on their options.
This pickleball party was the perfect mix of fun, competition, and stylish entertaining, and I loved setting it all up!
