Taylor Swift Party for Kids

Photography by Paige Budde

Planning a magical backyard birthday party for a young Taylor Swift fan means bringing sparkle, fun, and plenty of iconic details. From a custom-designed backdrop featuring iconic Taylor imagery to disco ball-inspired table settings that captured the "Midnights" aesthetic, and a show-stopping Eras cake that paid homage to Taylor's musical journey, every detail was carefully curated to create an unforgettable experience for our birthday girl and her fellow Swifties.

P.S. This was one part of an amazingly fun triple birthday celebration we designed and styled - be sure to check out the Pink Cowgirl Sweet Sixteen and Deadpool and Wolverine Party we set up in the same space! We never shy away from a challenge, and this triple celebration with three different themes turned out to be a sweet success.

Backdrop

First, we set up a glamorous photo backdrop with a glittery blue, pink, and purple color scheme. In front of a shimmery tile panel, we set up a wavy lavender panel, and embellished both with balloon garlands and color-coordinating floral arrangements. We also used smaller balloons and letter/number stickers to create the look of a friendship bracelet across both panels, which called out the birthday girl’s name and age.

But the best part of the backdrop had to be the life-sized cutout of Taylor Swift, dazzling in a classic sparkly outfit, wearing iconic red lipstick, surrounded by stars and striking a pose!

Table Setting

Nearby, we set up some low picnic-style seating on top of a jute rug. We surrounded the picnic table with comfortable pink and blue pillows. Then, in the center, we draped flowy lavender fabric and topped it with disco ball-inspired fabric as a table runner.

Smaller floral arrangements in the celebration’s color scheme served as the perfect table centerpieces, with disco balls of various sizes between each.

For place settings, we used lavender checked dinner plates, simple scalloped-edge white dessert plates, and wooden utensils tied together with pink ribbon. Personalized metallic silver cups with record stickers on them added some extra Taylor swift glitz, especially with the blue disco ball crazy straws we added to each.

Cake

The cake for this party was a pale pink multi-layer cake with a Taylor Swift Eras Tour poster decoration front and center. On the top and sides, the baker added swirls of pink icing, pearls, and disco balls. Finally, in front, friendship bracelet beads spelled out the guest of honor’s name.

As Taylor herself might say, these little Swifties will hopefully remember this enchanted birthday "All Too Well"!
