Simple Graduation Dessert Table
Even though celebrations are on a smaller scale at the moment, including graduations, I want to still be here to help my community easily celebrate at home, whether it’s for just a group of 4 or 10. So, let’s get ready to make high school and college graduation memories as a family and grab your cameras for those keepsake photos.
Whether your child (or children) is/are graduating from high school, college or kindergarten, they all want to have those celebrations - no matter the size of guests in attendance. It’s all about the celebrating with fun decorations and of course the yummy sweets.
I used a fringe backdrop with sections of black and white streamers. You can create this by using streamers or plastic table cloths cut into strips tied on a wire or string. Black and white, like I used here, is always classic - but you could also use the graduate’s HS colors or the colors of the college they’ll be attending. I continued to use this color scheme throughout, with pops of gold and silver for a bit more glamour.
A great way to make any simple cake shine is by adding a topper. You can create a mini banner topper with string, cardstock, stickers, and paper straws. Or find a printable version online.
I also love to elevate desserts on various stands for more dimension on the dessert table, rather than placing them all on one level.
You can also use decorative boxes to achieve some height. I used a couple of stacked boxes to hold a dish of black and white candies. On the other side of the table, I used a letter board to spell out a graduation-themed quote for inspiration! Candles, plates, black and gold flatware, and black and white polka dotted straws completed the look.
