French Cottage Bridal Shower
This post is sponsored by Michaels.
With spring in the air, there's no better way to celebrate your favorite bride-to-be than with a whimsical and romantic French Cottage Bridal Shower. Setting up a beautiful dessert and drink station that will bring the right ambiance to a French look is all you need. Whether you do it outdoors or inside, this set up will be perfect for celebrating the bride.
Dessert Table
I used a hutch to serve the desserts. The soft white paint of the piece helped the shades of green, pink and gold décor pop even more and gave the party a French country, whimsical look. As my focal point, I used the center of the hutch to set up my cake, a “sweet wishes” station for the bride, cookies and some pistachio flavored macarons as “thank you” favors for the guests.
I used Martha Stewart Mint Paper Trays and wrote a sweet message with a Gold Sharpie® Metallic Permanent Markers and set it up on a 7 inch easel display stand I also used an apothecary jar for the guests to leave their notes which I previously embellished with some cute love stickers.
The two-tier cake was inspired by the Martha Stewart New Mint and Blush Party Collection and I used a Coral Magnolia Stem to create the topper. Isn’t it gorgeous!
The cookies were also inspired by the beautiful soft color collection and the place card with the gold lettering just added the perfect touch!
I love how the macarons fit perfectly in the glass mini jars. I was able to fit three inside and just wrapped each jar with a cute gold sticker. Guests were so excited to take them home.
I decorated the top shelf with some apothecary jars of various sizes and placed them on top of a vintage suitcase. I filled them up with marshmallows and pink candy. It was easy to embellish them by cutting a mint colored doily in half and gluing the big flower from these flower picks to the doily. Lastly, I just topped it off with a Love sticker.
A celebration without cupcakes is not a celebration, so I bought some white chocolate flavored cupcakes from my local bakery and just fancied them up with gold foil wrappers and some cute flower picks.
On the lower shelf, I placed another cake which also was inspired by the Martha Stewart collection. I also included a gold banner that says LOVE IS SWEET, because it was such a great fit to our theme! And to add more color I included this super cute tablecloth.
To add more décor to my dessert area, I used the Martha Stewart deluxe décor kit and scattered the pom poms and lanterns on the side along with fresh flowers placed in a galvanized bucket that I spray painted with gold glitter.
On the other side of the hutch dresser, I set up a cute bar cart where drinks were served.
I used a glass dispenser to hold the “pink beverage” and as an extra touch, wrapped it with a cute ribbon that perfectly matched the decor.
For the grand toast, I got these gorgeous plastic champagne flutes and added the Love Stickers.
Did you spot the tiny paper flower on the cupcake? Isn’t it super cute?
I love how the fans from the Martha Stewart deluxe décor kit were the perfect accent to make the bar cart look super festive. Guests will be tickled pink and mint to treat themselves at this party!
