Galentine's Day Bash
Photography by Candi Noble
Throughout the year I like to take some time to celebrate the women in my life. I think as parents we’re often focused on taking care of the kids, and planning their birthday parties and each holiday. But we too often forget to take a minute and celebrate ourselves and of course, our friendships. A Galentine’s Day Bash is the perfect way to do just that!
Never heard of Galentine’s Day? Galentine’s Day was originally made up holiday on the NBC show “Parks and Recreation” but has since become a fun annual tradition all about Ladies Celebrating Ladies!
I decide to host my Galentine’s for a simple desserts and coffee bar party.
I stocked my coffee station with a mini Keurig, K-Cups, and creamers. And also some packets of mocha mix.
For my desserts I served a variety of petit fours, cupcakes, cookies, petit fours and a beautiful modern cake designed by Polkadots Cupcake Factory.
I asked Polkadots to use our partyware from Cheeky as her inspiration as she created these adorable sweets. They knocked it out of the park, I love the modern minimalist look to these desserts.
I displayed everything on a beautiful pink bar from our friends over at the 10th Collection . I used cake stands in black and white and I added a cute printable banner that says “Enjoy”!
I chose the Mudcloth collection from Cheeky as my partyware because I love their mission. For each Cheeky item purchased, they give one meal to someone in need through partnerships with Feeding America and No Kid Hungry.
I wanted to focus on friendship and the mission of supporting those in need though Cheeky, so you won’t find any hearts in this Valentine celebration, but you’ll definitely know that behind this modern and untraditional Valentines party, it is really LOVE that is being shared.
I would love to encourage you to spread love and help end hunger in the USA, and what could be better than helping while celebrating friendship?
The real showstopper from this party is the balloon garland from ATX Bubbles! It really pulled everything together and gave a nice focal point.
So how are you going to celebrate your lady friends this year? I hope I have inspired you to host your own Galentine’s Day bash. To help get you started, I’ve got a present for you! Free Printables!
